England and defending champions Greece are among the teams that can join Germany in clinching a place at the European Championship when qualifying continues tomorrow.
Germany became the first country to qualify for next year's finals with a scoreless draw in Ireland on Saturday.
England, Greece, the Czech Republic and Sweden can all advance with a win, while Croatia and Poland could qualify without even playing.
But the pressure is still on World Cup finalists France and Italy after Scotland won in Group B qualifying on Saturday.
Scotland, the group leaders, only need four points from their remaining two matches to qualify and play in Georgia on Wednesday
Italy are playing a friendly against South Africa tomorrow while France host Lithuania.
Scotland are reveling after a 3-1 win over Ukraine on Saturday, which gave them six consecutive wins for the first time in 58 years.
"On our day, we can beat anybody and we are very hard to beat," Scotland striker James McFadden said.
If England win or draw in Moscow, Croatia will advance from Group E. England have to win in Moscow to qualify.
England won their fifth consecutive qualifier on Saturday, with a 3-0 victory over Estonia at Wembley. But tomorrow's match is being played on an unfamiliar artificial pitch in Moscow.
"Whatever we are presented with, we will cope with," England coach Steve McClaren said.
England will be without injured defender Ashley Cole, while captain John Terry could also miss the match with a troubled knee.
Sweden and Spain are well-placed in Group F. Sweden lead with 22 points and will advance with a win over visiting Northern Ireland tomorrow.
Spain also have 22 points, but have played a game more and will have to wait until next month for their next qualifier.
Denmark host Latvia and Iceland play in Liechtenstein in other Group F games.
The Czech Republic can also advance from Group D with a win in Germany tomorrow.
Ireland host Cyprus and San Marino play in Wales in the other group games.
Greece will reach the finals if they win in Turkey tomorrow. The Greeks lead Group C with 22 points after a 3-2 victory over Bosnia-Herzegovina on Saturday.
"It's going to be a difficult match on Wednesday," striker Angelos Charisteas said. "We must quickly regain our strength ... and try to win."
Turkey are second with 18 points after being held to a surprise 1-1 draw by Moldova. Norway have 17 points and play in Bosnia-Herzegovina.
Romania are still celebrating their 1-0 win over Netherlands in Group G on Saturday.
The Dutch still have a good chance of qualifying -- Romania have 23 points, the Netherlands have 20 and Bulgaria 18.
Romania are in Luxembourg, the Netherlands host Slovenia and Bulgaria play Albania tomorrow.
Romania will advance if they win and Bulgaria lose.
Portugal, who lost the Euro 2004 final at home, have a harder task. Their 2-0 win in Azerbaijan moved them to second place in Group A with 20 points, four points behind leaders Poland.
The Portuguese face Kazakhstan tomorrow.
In other Group A matches, it is: Belgium vs. Armenia and Azerbaijan vs. Serbia.
Losses for Portugal and Serbia, would send Poland through.
