Lions best Whales in wild match

VALIANT A thunderous swing by veteran Lions slugger Chen Lien-hong beached the Whales in a classic seesaw affair that saw seven lead changes

Kao Guo-ching's rifling double through the right-center gap quickly put the Lions up 1-0 in the top of the first before the Whales responded with a run in the bottom of the second to knot things up at 1-all.

Both teams would trade another run in a 2-2 contest before Lions catcher Kao Cheng-hua homered to deep-center to put his team ahead for good in the top of the fourth.

The four errors committed by the Whales defense proved costly as two of the Lions four runs in the game were direct results of errors on behalf of the Whales.

Cobras 4, Bulls 0

The Cobras opened the week by blanking the Bulls 4-0 in Sinjhuang on Tuesday night thanks to a great effort by Brazilian righty Kleber Ojima who was placed on the Macoto roster in place of an injured Ivanon Coffie.
