At Toronto, Chad Kilger scored twice and Toronto helped its playoff chances with a rout of Carolina.
Boyd Devereaux, Pavel Kubina, Yanic Perreault and Alexei Ponikarovsky also scored for the Maple Leafs, who tied Stanley Cup champion Carolina in points (84).
Carolina goalie Cam Ward scored on himself. Last year's playoff MVP was replaced after allowing five goals on 19 shots. He knocked in Toronto's second goal with his own stick, and looked bad on Toronto's other goals. Eric Staal scored for the Hurricanes.
Bruins 3, Senators 2
At Ottawa, Zdeno Chara scored the game-winner against his former team to help Boston snap a five-game losing streak.
Patrice Bergeron and Petr Kalus also scored for Boston while Joey MacDonald stopped 32 shots for his third win of the year.
