Mavericks 95, Rockets 74

At Dallas, Josh Howard, chosen as a Western Conference All-Star earlier in the day, had 22 points and seven rebounds to lead Dallas past Houston for a team-record 17th straight home victory.

The franchise record of 16 in a row at home was set from Jan. 3 to March 3 last year, then matched this season from Dec. 9-Feb. 7.

Jason Terry added 18 points, Dirk Nowitzki had 15 points and eight rebounds and reserve Jerry Stackhouse scored 14 points for the Mavericks, who stretched their overall winning streak to six games.

Cavaliers 103, Heat 79

At Cleveland, LeBron James ended a mini-scoring slump with 29 points and Cleveland did a better job containing Miami's Dwyane Wade in snapping the Heat's five-game winning streak.

James had averaged just 17.7 points -- almost nine under his average -- in the past four games. But going head-to-head against his good friend Wade brought out the best in James, who scored 16 points after halftime and added seven rebounds and six assists.

Wade finished with 27 points, but never got a chance to take over the way he did a week ago when he outscored Cleveland 24-23 in the fourth quarter.

Grizzlies 105, Timberwolves 97

At Memphis, Tennessee, Rudy Gay scored 19 points, including seven in overtime, to help Memphis snap a four-game losing streak and send Minnesota to its fifth loss in six games.

Six Memphis players finished in double figures. Mike Miller had 17, while Chucky Atkins added 15 points and six assists. Leading scorer Pau Gasol was held to 10 points on 2-of-13 shooting, but grabbed 17 rebounds, matching his season high.

Mark Blount led Minnesota with 25 points, while Kevin Garnett scored 20 points and had 17 rebounds. Davis scored 16 points and Trenton Hassell chipped in 10.

Hawks 120, Suns 111

At Phoenix, former Sun Joe Johnson scored 17 of his 32 points in the fourth quarter to lead Atlanta to victory over a Phoenix team sorely missing playmaker Steve Nash.

Johnson, who asked to be traded to Atlanta after the 2004-05 season, sank a pair of late 3-pointers, one in a decisive 8-0 surge. He made 10 of 25 shots but was 4-for-7 in the fourth quarter.

Josh Smith added 25 points in the Hawks' fourth consecutive road victory.

Warriors 123, Bulls 121, OT

At Oakland, California, Monta Ellis hit the go-ahead jumper with 43 seconds remaining in overtime, leading Golden State to its eighth straight home win over Chicago.

Al Harrington scored 24 points before fouling out in the extra period. Stephen Jackson added 23 points, including a pair of free throws in the final 26 seconds.
