Dwayne Jarrett caught 11 passes for 205 yards and two touchdowns and helped eighth-ranked Southern Cal to a 32-18 victory over Michigan in the Rose Bowl on Monday.
John Booty threw for 391 yards and four touchdowns as the Trojans (11-2) set themselves up as next year's possible preseason No. 1.
Southern Cal didn't let the Wolverines past the USC 20 until Michigan had fallen behind 19-3. When Michigan finally did find the end zone to cut its deficit to 19-11, the Trojans came back with the drive capped by a Jarrett touchdown.
Fiesta Bowl Boise St. 43, Oklahoma 42, OT
At Glendale, Arizona, Boise State stunned Oklahoma 43-42 in overtime Monday night, tying it with 7 seconds to go in regulation and winning on Ian Johnson's 2-point conversion run after receiver Vinny Perretta threw a fourth-down touchdown pass to Derek Schouman.
The Sooners had taken a 42-35 lead on Adrian Peterson's 25-yard run.
On the decisive play, Broncos quarterback Jared Zabransky glanced at three wide receivers to his right, then handed the ball behind his back to Johnson, who raced untouched into the end zone.
That play was almost as amazing as the one that tied the game.
After falling behind 35-28, the Broncos tied it with a stunning 50-yard touchdown play on fourth down with seven seconds to play. Zabransky hit Drisan James at Oklahoma's 35, and James pitched the ball to Jerard Rabb, who raced into the end zone.
Oklahoma (11-3) and the Broncos (13-0) combined for 22 points in the final 86 seconds of regulation to stage one of the most dramatic finishes in BCS history.
Outback Bowl Penn St. 20, Tennessee 10
In Tampa, Florida, Tony Hunt ran for 158 yards and Tony Davis ran with a recovered fumble 88 yards for a touchdown to help Penn State get the win.
Nittany Lions coach Joe Paterno watched from the press box as he was recovering from a broken leg.
Anthony Morelli threw a 2-yard TD pass to Andrew Quarless and Kevin Kelly kicked two field goals for Penn State, helping Paterno -- the all-time leader in bowl wins -- get his 22nd postseason victory.
Penn State (9-4) forced three turnovers to hold Tennessee (9-4) to a season-low point total, and the Nittany Lions improved to 16-6 in New Year's Day bowls under their 80-year-old coach.
Capital One Bowl Wisconsin 17, Arkansas 14
In Orlando, Florida, John Stocco threw two first-half touchdown passes and Wisconsin held on to beat Arkansas.
The Badgers (12-1) led 17-7 at halftime, but most of the second half was played in Wisconsin territory. Felix Jones brought the Razorbacks within three points with a 12-yard scoring run in the fourth quarter, but Arkansas (10-4) could not overcome an undisciplined, mistake-filled performance.
Cotton Bowl Auburn 17, Nebraska 14
In Dallas, Carl Stewart scored the only two times he touched the ball, John Vaughn kicked a 42-yard field goal and Auburn's defense held at the end.
Nebraska (9-5) opened with a dominating drive, but couldn't do much else right in its first January game in five years. The Cornhuskers' bid for 10 wins ended when Zac Taylor threw an incompletion on fourth-and-11 from the Auburn 30 with 2:03 left.
Gator Bowl W. Virginia 38, Georgia Tech 35
In Jacksonville, Florida, quarterback Patrick White led West Virginia back from an 18-point deficit in the second half for a victory over Georgia Tech.
Tailback Steve Slaton, the country's third-leading rusher at 144 yards a game, played only the first half for the Mountaineers (11-2) and wasn't a factor. Slaton's status was uncertain before kickoff with a badly bruised left thigh and the sophomore managed just 11 yards on three carries.
White was 9-of-15 for 131 yards and two touchdowns.
