Ryan Zimmerman homered for the Nationals.
Mets 8, Diamondbacks 7
At New York, David Wright's drive to the center field wall capped a ninth-inning comeback for New York.
The Mets pulled the game out in the bottom of the ninth against Arizona closer Jose Valverde (2-3), who was also stung for a two-run walkoff homer when the Diamondbacks lost in Cincinnati on Sunday.
Endy Chavez, who came into the game in a double switch at the start of the ninth, opened the inning with a double and dashed home on a single by Jose Reyes to tie the game. Paul Lo Duca followed with his fourth hit of the game, sending Reyes to third. After Arizona walked Carlos Beltran intentionally to load the bases, Carlos Delgado struck out.
With the infield in, Wright ripped a shot over the head of Eric Byrnes, scoring the winning run.
Duaner Sanchez (2-0) pitched the ninth for the victory.
Rockies 5, Padres 0
At San Diego, Jason Jennings threw a two-hitter, facing four over the minimum, and Matt Holliday, Brad Hawpe and rookie Ryan Spilborghs homered to lead Colorado over San Diego.
Colorado is 4-0 at Petco Park this season and all four games have been no-doubters.
The Rockies swept a series here in the season's first week, when they became the first team to score in double digits in three straight games at the spacious downtown park, which opened in 2004.
The Padres wore camouflage jerseys to honor the military on Memorial Day, and it seemed like Jennings (3-5) was throwing camouflage balls. It was his fifth career complete game and third shutout.
