Phil Rizzuto out to auction items from MLB's golden age

Bob Lemon's pitch was at his head, Rizzuto recalled with historical help from the sportscaster Spencer Ross. Yet he managed to bunt, and DiMaggio scored the winning run. Lemon was so angry, Rizzuto said, "he threw the ball over the screen." For years, Rizzuto said, Lemon stayed angry at him. But Mantle, the namesake of the restaurant he was sitting in, was jumping for joy.
