Bryan Smolinski scored with 1:46 left in the third period to give the Ottawa Senators a 4-3, comeback win over the New York Islanders on Friday.
Senators captain Daniel Alfredsson scored his 25th goal in the first period before leaving with a rib injury in the second after he was hit by Zdeno Chara's slap shot.
Trailing 3-1, Ottawa came back on Dany Heatley's 25th goal late in the second and Peter Schaefer's tying goal 4:06 into the third.

At Tampa, Florida, Patrice Bergeron scored a tiebreaking, shorthanded goal with 11:49 left and Hannu Toivonen made 31 saves as Boston beat Tampa Bay.
Sean Burke had 22 saves starting in place of John Grahame.
Wayne Primeau also scored for the Bruins, who have won three of five. Rob DiMaio scored for Tampa Bay, which has lost six of seven.

At Buffalo, New York, Ryan Miller made 34 saves and Chris Drury added a goal and an assist as Buffalo downed Atlanta.
His bid for his first shutout of the year was foiled by Marc Savard with six minutes to play.
Thomas Vanek, Maxim Afinogenov, and Mike Grier also scored for the Sabres, who have won 18 of their past 22. They lost in a shootout in Toronto the night before.
Atlanta's Kari Lehtonen, making his first start since injuring his groin in the first period of the Thrashers' opener, finished with 25 saves.
Panthers 2, Canadiens 1
At Sunrise, Florida, Joe Nieuwendyk scored twice and Roberto Luongo stopped Alex Kovalev's penalty shot with 2:57 left as Florida defeated Montreal.
The Panthers are unbeaten at home in regulation in their last six games (5-0-1), and have 12 of their 15 wins at home.
Kovalev was awarded a penalty shot after being hooked by Lukas Krajicek on a breakaway. Luongo, who stopped 27 shots, has not allowed a goal on nine penalty shots he has faced in his career.
Montreal's Jose Theodore had 28 saves in his second game back after missing four due to a knee injury.
Blue Jackets 3, Blackhawks 2
At Chicago, Rick Nash and Nikolai Zherdev each had a goal and an assist to help Columbus past Chicago for its third straight win.
Nash, who has played in just 10 games due to ankle and knee injuries, had his first multipoint game this season.
Dan Fritsche also scored for Columbus and Marc Denis made 41 saves to help send the Blackhawks to their sixth straight loss and eighth in their last nine games.
Mark Bell and Martin Lapointe scored for Chicago, which outshot Columbus 43-21.
Oilers 4, Predators 2
At Edmonton, Alberta, Ryan Smyth scored on a penalty shot and had an assist to lead Edmonton past Nashville. Shawn Horcoff, Jason Smith and Jarret Stoll also scored for Edmonton.
Scott Hartnell and Steve Sullivan scored for Nashville, which has lost two straight after a six-game win streak.
Jussi Markkanen made 29 saves for Edmonton. Tomas Vokoun stopped 31 shots for the Predators, who were 0-for-6 on the power play.
Eric Blum and Matthias Joggi scored power-play goals in the third period on Friday to help Switzerland rally for a 2-2 tie with the US in the world junior hockey championship.
Bobby Ryan and Geoff Paukovich had first-period goals for the US (2-0-1), which must beat Canada (3-0) on Saturday night to win Group A.
Blum made it 2-1 at 7:53 of the third with a sharp-angle shot that hit goalie Cory Schneider on the arm and went into the net.
"That one surprised me a little bit," Schneider said. "I didn't see the guy right there on the doorstep. It's my fault for not being on the post."
Joggi scored on a two-man advantage with 5:52 left. He controlled a rebound at the right side of the net and lifted a shot over Schneider.
The US, 15-0-2 against Switzerland (1-1-1) in world junior play, opened the tournament with an 11-2 victory over Norway on Monday and rallied to beat Finland 6-5 on Wednesday.
The Group A winner will advance to the semifinals Tuesday. The second-place team will play the third-place team in Group B in the quarterfinals Monday night.
In the second Group A game on Friday, Perttu Lindgren had a goal and four assists in Finland's 9-1 victory over Norway.
Aki Seitsonen added two goals and an assist and Timo Seppanen also scored twice for Finland (1-2). Norway finished the tournament 0-4.
In Group B, the Czech Republic and Sweden both improved to 2-1.
In Kelowna, David Krejci scored three goals and Radek Fiala made 26 saves in the Czech Republic's 5-3 victory over Slovakia.
