Roberto Luongo made 29 saves, including stopping a penalty shot in the third period, and Florida beat the New York Islanders 3-1 on Monday.
Luongo (3-1) posted shutouts in the first two games, stopping 61 shots, and didn't allow a goal until a 2-1 loss on Saturday to Tampa Bay. He stopped Miroslav Satan on a penalty shot with 14:34 left in the third.
Satan scored in the first period and Kristian Huselius and Chris Gratton scored 4:31 apart in the second period to give Florida a 2-1 lead. Rostislav Olesz scored his first NHL goal into an empty net.

Capitals 3, Rangers 2
In Washington, rookie Alex Ovechkin scored the winning goal on a power play in the third period, and Olie Kolzig made 30 saves for the Capitals.
Ovechkin scored his third goal while the Capitals had a two-man advantage.
The Capitals killed two penalties late in the game. Kolzig stopped 30 shots.
Washington's Steve Eminger scored his first NHL goal with 1 second remaining in the second period made it 2-2. Marcel Hossa gave the Rangers a 2-1 lead midway in the second period. Former Capital Jaromir Jagr scored his team-leading third goal for the Rangers early in the second period.
Petr Sykora also scored for Washington.
Sabres 3, Penguins 2, OT
In Buffalo, New York, Jochen Hecht jammed in a loose puck from in close with 20 seconds left in overtime for the Sabres.
Rory Fitzpatrick and Paul Gaustad also scored for Buffalo, while Ryan Miller stopped 26 shots.
Mark Recchi and Zigmund Palffy both had a goal and an assist for Pittsburgh. Overall No. 1 draft pick Sidney Crosby had an assist on Recchi's goal, giving him a point (one goal, five assists) in each of the Penguins' four games.
Senators 6, Maple Leafs 5, SO
In Ottawa, Dany Heatley scored the lone goal of the shootout to give the Senators the victory.
Dominik Hasek stopped Kyle Wellwood, Eric Lindros and Jason Allison in the shootout and Ottawa (3-0-0) remained unbeaten.
Ottawa's Jason Spezza scored his second goal of the game at 9:27 of the third period to tie it 5-5. Chris Neil, Heatley and Alfredsson also scored for the Senators.
Tie Domi, Clark Wilm and Nik Antropov all scored in a 1:55 span in the third period to erase a 4-2 deficit and give the Maple Leafs (0-1-0-2) a one-goal lead with just over 12 minutes to play in the third period.
Canucks 4, Red Wings 2
In Detroit, Anson Carter scored with 8:46 remaining to break the final tie and Vancouver (2-0-1) remained unbeaten while handing the Red Wings (3-1-0) their first loss of the season.
Henrik Sedin had a goal and two assists for Vancouver, while Matt Cooke and Richard Park scored for the Canucks. Mikael Samuelsson and Tomas Holmstrom scored for Detroit.
Bruins 4, Lightning 2
At Tampa, Florida, Brian Leetch scored his first goal for Boston and P.J. Axelsson had a goal and an assist for the Bruins.
Fredrik Modin and Dan Boyle scored for Tampa Bay. Axelsson assisted on Travis Green's goal that made it 3-1 at 3:17 of the third. After Brad Isbister extended Boston's lead to three goals at 9:32, Tampa Bay pulled within 4-2 when Dan Boyle scored with 5:32 to play.
Avalanche 7, Flames 3
In Denver, Marek Svatos scored three goals to lead Colorado. Rookie Wojtek Wolski scored his first NHL goal in the first period David Aebischer made 30 saves to get the win.
