Weis did not allow the Willingham issue to become a distraction for his team. After Saturday's loss, he told reporters that his players would not talk about their former coach, "and neither will I."
Willingham said, "The fact that you have players that I recruited, that I spent time in their homes, that does make it a little bit different, that relationship."
But all those relationships are diminished now, replaced by another coach, another staff, another system.
