Todd Helton had a pair of doubles and made a spectacular diving stop to rob Brian Schneider of extra bases in the eighth inning, and Jorge Piedra hit his third homer for Colorado. But the Rockies couldn't overcome another early deficit and control problems by starter Jamey Wright (6-13).
Reds 5, Brewers 3
At Milwaukee, Luke Hudson pitched six solid innings to remain unbeaten against Milwaukee, leading surging Cincinnati to its fourth straight victory.
Hudson (4-5) improved to 3-0 in four career starts against the Brewers by giving up three runs and five hits -- including two homers by Rickie Weeks. He walked five and struck out three.
Weeks had three hits for Milwaukee, which has lost four straight after returning to the .500 mark at Philadelphia Sunday.
Cincinnati has won nine in a row on the road. It is the Reds' longest road winning streak since they won nine straight from April 12-28, 2001. The Reds have won 20 of their last 30 games.
Milwaukee's Chris Capuano (12-8) lasted just 4 1-3 innings and gave up five runs on eight hits and walked four.
Dodgers 7, Mets 6, 10 innings
At Los Angeles, Dioner Navarro hit his first major league home run off Braden Looper (4-6) with two outs in the 10th inning and Los Angeles rallied to beat injury-hampered New York.
Victor Diaz drove in three runs for New York with a pair of homers in his first game since being recalled from the minors. But the Mets played without two-thirds of their regular outfield, one day after Mike Cameron and Carlos Beltran were injured in a face-to-face collision during a 2-1 loss at San Diego.
Cameron had a broken nose, multiple fractures of both cheekbones and a concussion. Beltran also had a concussion, in addition to a small fracture in his cheekbone.
Duaner Sanchez (4-4) pitched two innings of one-hit relief for the victory.
