Aussies gain solid victory over Kiwis

Opener Fleming was the next to fall, with Jason Gillespie diving to the ground at mid-on to catch his pulled shot off the bowling of Kasprowicz to leave New Zealand on 49-4. Kasprowicz then took two wickets in two balls. He caught and bowled Oram for 15, then trapped Cairns lbw for a first ball duck to leave the Kiwis on 79-6.

McMillan and Harris pushed the score to 124 before New Zealand lost its seventh wicket when McMillan was stumped by Kasprowicz for 18 after a mixup between the two.

Harris was caught and bowled by Darren Lehmann for 26, and McCullum was out for 47 when he hooked Gillespie to Kasprowicz who dived at long-on for the catch for the final wicket. Vettori finished not out 29 and Kyle Mills on three after 50 overs.
