In Nashville, Kimmo Timonen scored two power-play goals and assisted on a third in the Nashville Predators' 3-2 victory over the Pittsburgh Penguins on Thursday.
Martin Erat broke a 2-2 tie at 7:19 of the third period, beating Sebastien Caron through the legs.
Nashville's Tomas Vokoun made 29 saves for his 81st career victory, tying the franchise record set by Mike Dunham.

In Ottawa, Peter Schaefer scored with 5:55 remaining in the third period and Patrick Lalime recorded Ottawa's second straight shutout in a victory over the New York Islanders.
Ottawa ended the Islanders' six-game winning streak by extending its own season-high unbeaten run to eight games.
Lalime made 32 saves for his 30th career shutout. Garth Snow, 9-4 since becoming the Islanders' No. 1 goalie, stopped 22 shots. New York failed to record a point for just the third time in 14 games (10-3-0-1).

In Boston, Shaone Morrisonn had a goal and an assist to help Boston snap a nine-game winless streak at home.
Felix Potvin preserved the victory when he robbed Tom Fitzgerald with a glove save with 29 seconds remaining. Potvin stopped 22 shots and won for the first time in Boston this season. He was 0-2-3 in his previous five appearances.
Morrisonn scored his first NHL goal for Boston, 0-5-4 during its winless streak.
Gary Roberts and Matt Stajan scored for Toronto, 0-2-1 since earning at least one point in a team-record 16 straight games.
Blues 5, Rangers 4
In St. Louis, Chris Pronger scored the first of St. Louis' four power-play goals and Doug Weight added three assists for the Blues, who won for just the second time in seven games.
The Rangers, 3-2-0-1 in their last six, failed to win three straight for the fifth time this season.
St. Louis is 5-1-1 in its last seven games against the Rangers. Blues coach Joel Quenneville earned his 300th NHL victory in the only regular-season meeting between the teams.
