Markus Naslund and the Vancouver Canucks are comfortable working overtime.
Naslund scored with 47 seconds left in the extra period to give Vancouver a 2-1 victory over Carolina on Sunday night.
It was the fourth straight overtime game for the Canucks and the 10th in their last 14 games. It also was the second time in the last three that Naslund scored the winner.
"It's fun to play when it opens up a little bit, but we'd like to win in regulation," Naslund said.
The Canucks have gone to overtime in 12 of their 30 games, winning five times and losing just twice.
In the only other NHL games Sunday night, Edmonton beat Anaheim 3-2, and Chicago tied Dallas 1-1.
On the winning goal, Naslund faked a move to the middle, then lifted a shot over goalie Jamie Storr's blocker. Todd Bertuzzi made a nice flip pass at the Carolina blue line to put Naslund in alone.
"I tried to skate down pick up a little speed and find a hole and Todd put it in a good spot and I could skate right in," said Naslund, whose 16th goal lifted him into a tie with Detroit's Pavel Datysuk for the NHL scoring lead with 37 points.
Oilers 3, Mighty Ducks 2
At Anaheim, California, Raffi Torres scored the go-ahead goal with 5:29 remaining and Radek Dvorak had two assists for Edmonton.
Cory Cross and Jason Chimera also scored and Ty Conklin made 28 saves to help the Oilers win for only the second time in their last 11 games. Petr Sykora and Andy McDonald scored for Anaheim.
Blackhawks 1, Stars 1
At Chicago, Michael Leighton made 31 saves for the Blackhawks, and Dallas' Marty Turco stopped 29 shots.
Steve Sullivan scored for Chicago in the first period, and Sergei Zubov tied it in the second with a short-handed goal.
The Blackhawks are 1-10-3-3 in their last 16 games, while the Stars are 1-5-1 in their last seven.
