Wotherspoon won with a time of 34.45 seconds, four-hundredths of a second better than his winning time the night before at the Utah Olympic Oval.
Dmitry Lobkov of Russia was second (34.51) and Japan's Hiroyasu Shimzu placed third (34.61).
Marianne Timmer won the women's 500 in 38 seconds, followed by Manli Wang of China.
