Anderson had 10 points in the quarter, helping to make up for the loss of top scorer Allan Houston, who missed his second straight game with a sore lower back, and Keith Van Horn, sidelined for his fifth consecutive game with a sprained right ankle.
Dikembe Mutombo moved ahead of former Knick Patrick Ewing into fifth place in career blocked shots. He had four Monday, giving him 2,896, two more than Ewing.
Mutombo added 13 points and 12 rebounds, while Kurt Thomas had 15 points and 11 rebounds and Howard Eisley scored 14 points. For Boston, Paul Pierce and Vin Baker scored 16 each.
Pistons 94, Hawks 89
In Atlanta, Chauncey Billups redeemed himself at the free-throw line by hitting four straight shots in the final 18.3 seconds to help the Detroit Pistons beat Atlanta.
Billups missed two foul shots with seven seconds remaining Sunday in Detroit's 81-80 loss to New Orleans. He finished with a team-high 24 points despite shooting only 7-for-23 from the floor.
Abdur-Rahim led the Hawks, who have lost four of six, with 26 points and 14 rebounds.
Tayshaun Prince added 22 points for Detroit, and Ben Wallace had 15 rebounds.
