Patrik Stefan scored on a penalty shot, and Randy Robitaille and Ilya Kovalchuk each had a goal and two assists in the Atlanta Thrashers' 7-4 victory over the Buffalo Sabres.
Shawn McEachern added three assists Wednesday for Atlanta, which snapped a three-game winless streak and moved into first place in the Southeast Division.

Atlanta turned a two-goal deficit after the first period into a 4-3 lead with three consecutive goals by Jean-Pierre Vigier, Ivan Majesky and Robitaille in a 3:23 span late in the second period.
Seven different players scored for the Thrashers while 10 players recorded at least a point.
"We talked about increasing the responsibility of some players and they stepped up," Atlanta coach Bob Hartley said.
Stefan scored on a penalty shot, Yannick Tremblay had a power-play goal and Serge Aubin scored in the third period for the Thrashers.
"Whatever they shot went in," Sabres coach Lindy Ruff said. ``We didn't make a lot of mistakes but when we made them, every one of them found the back of our net.''
Daniel Briere capped the scoring for the Sabres with a goal at 14:31 of the third period. Maxim Afinogenov, JP Dumont and Curtis Brown also scored for Buffalo.
Kings 3, Panthers 2
In Florida, Derek Armstrong and Trent Klatt scored power-play goals and the Los Angeles Kings won at Florida for the first time, beating the Panthers.
Jonathan Sim also scored for Los Angeles, which was a combined 0-3-4 at Miami Arena and the Office Depot Center. Roman Cechmanek made 33 saves for the Kings to improve to 6-1-1 lifetime against Florida.
Devils 3, Sharks 2, OT
In East Rutherford, New Jersey, Jamie Langenbrunner scored with 42.7 seconds remaining in overtime, giving the New Jersey Devils a win over the San Jose Sharks.
Scott Stevens set up the first two New Jersey goals, by Christian Berglund and Turner Stevenson, to reach 900 career points. Martin Brodeur made 13 saves as the Devils extended their winning streak to four games.
Scott Thornton and Alexander Korolyuk scored for the Sharks.
