Fulham not for sale

Fulham owner Mohamed Al-Fayed says his club is not for sale.

Thaksin Shinawatra, the prime minister of Thailand, held talks last weekend with Al-Fayed and was in the stands on Saturday when Fulham defeated Manchester United 3-1 at Old Trafford.

Shinawatra has been quoted expressing interest in buying the club.

Fulham issued a statement Wednesday saying the club was not for sale.

"The way Fulham are playing at the moment I can quite understand why it may be an attractive proposition to some people in football," Al-Fayed said.

"But this is a club I love passionately and I have no intention of selling it nor would I think about discussing offers."

Reds, blues and kenyon

Manchester United has reported Chelsea to the Premier League for using Peter Kenyon's services when he is still under contract with the Reds.

Kenyon, Manchester United's former chief executive, left the club in early September to join Chelsea but has yet to reach a deal with both clubs over his starting date.

United filed its complaint with the Premier League after a report in Spain said Kenyon had talked with Real Madrid about signing Michel Salgado for Chelsea.

United is seeking compensation from Chelsea over Kenyon's departure. Under terms of his Man United contract, he is required to give the club a year's notice before leaving.
