England is expecting some tough Bangladeshi resistance in the second test starting today as the visitors attempt to complete a series whitewash.
Leading 1-0 in the two-test series, England coach Duncan Fletcher said the team is determined to condemn Bangladesh to its 25th successive test defeat.
But he said England doesn't expected an easy match.
"We have to go and win the test match," said Fletcher. "We do not underestimate Bangladesh."
Captain Michael Vaughan echoed his coach's comments.
"We will try to play in a similar manner as in Dhaka," Vaughan said. "In Dhaka, we blowed them [Bangladesh] away on the fifth day and that's how we will have to play here all the five days."
The tourists arrived in this southern port city late Monday and held a practice session at M.A. Aziz Stadium Tuesday.
England won the first test in Dhaka by seven wickets, but the victory wasn't easy. England had to toil hard until the first session of the final day, when Bangladesh lost its last four wickets for only 10 runs.
Until then, Bangladesh was in a position to either force a draw or even win the game on a slow pitch that was aiding the spinners.
"We don't want to repeat the mistakes made in Dhaka," said Bangladesh captain Khaled Mahmud, referring to the team's final day collapse.
"We are making improvements in every test. What we need now is to become mentally tough to win a match," said Mahmud before starting practice.
After inspecting the Chittagong pitch, both teams expect it to be a bit bouncy, favoring seamers over than spinners.
That raised speculation that England may opt for an extra seamer.
