The Atlanta Braves forced extra innings on Gary Sheffield's ninth-inning home run, then got another from Marcus Giles in the 10th to defeat the Montreal Expos 2-1 in National League play on Tuesday.
The blasts -- both served up by Dan Smith (1-1) -- denied the surprising Expos their fifth straight win in their Caribbean island home, where they will play 22 times this season.
Fans have quickly made them feel at home, serenading them with soccer chants.
Orlando Cabrera homered in the seventh for Montreal's lone score. Bong Jung-keun (1-0) was credited with the win, with John Smoltz finishing up for his fourth save.
Cubs 11 Reds 1
In Chicago, Sammy Sosa belted his 501st career home run to launch a five-run fourth inning as the Cubs clobbered the Cincinnati Reds 11-1.
Sosa took loser Danny Graves (0-2) deep a week and a half after collecting his 500th round-tripper.
He doubled an inning later to plate two more runs to turn the game into a rout.
Mets 3 Pirates 1
In Pittsburgh, Tom Glavine (2-1) held the Pirates to just three hits in six-plus innings as the Mets snapped a six-game losing streak with a 3-1 win.
Since being drubbed 15-2 in his Mets debut, Glavine has yielded just two runs in 18 innings on the mound.
Jeromy Burnitz clubbed a two-run homer off loser Josh Fogg (1-2) to give the Mets all the runs they needed.
Phillies 4 Marlins 3
In Philadelphia, Jimmy Rollins clubbed a three-run, seventh-inning homer to give the host Phillies a 4-3 victory over the Florida Marlins.
Rollins blasted the homer off loser Josh Beckett (1-2), who struck out six in a little over six innings.
Carlos Silva (2-0), the third of six Philly pitchers, notched the win, with Jose Mesa earning the save, his third in four chances.
Brewers 6 Cardinals 1
In Milwaukee, John Vander Wal's first-inning double plated the deciding runs as the Brewers drubbed the St. Louis Cardinals 6-1.
Garrett Stephenson (1-1) served up the blow to take the loss.
Ben Sheets worked eight innings, allowing just six hits while fanning six, to notch his first victory of the season.
Rockies 12 Diamondbacks 1
In Phoenix, Arizona, the Colorado Rockies used a three-run first inning and a seven-run ninth to cruise 12-1 over the reeling Diamondbacks, who are now just 3-11.
Shawn Chacon (2-0) worked seven innings for the victory and also banged his first big-league home run.
Padres 3 Dodgers 2
In Los Angeles, Mark Loretta's sixth-inning walk off Hideo Nomo (1-3) plated the winning run as the San Diego Padres edged the Dodgers 3-2.
