Giant sweeps the major honors at National Open race

Lai Kuan-hua (賴冠華) and Peng Kui-hsiang (彭貴祥) of the Giant team won first and second place respectively in this year's National Open Bicycle Road Race, held yesterday in Pingtung County.

Third place was taken by Chang Chien Chung-chin (張簡崇進) of the Yung Ta Institute of Technology and Commerce.

Lai and Peng also shared the "King of Mountain" prize with 10 points each.

The race began at 9am yesterday, setting out in front of the Pingtung County Government building, and ended at a police outpost in A-li (阿禮), which is 1,300m above sea level.

In addition to the men's 50km race, there were also women's events as well as junior men's and women's events, all of which spanned 25.3km each.
