Run, bike and swim in Taiwan

The 2003 Kenting Hengchun Peninsula Triathlon is set to start at the scenic Yoho Landis resort in Pingtung County on March 1 -- and organizers are encouraging the public to join up.

There will be a variety of categories for the triathlon event, which includes three disciplines: running, a bike race and swimming.

Various categories for competition have been set out, including elementary school level, junior high school level, a standard 90km race for senior high schoolers and above, the women's event and a seniors event.

Each category will feature individual and team races.

The top individual prize for the 90km contest is NT$20,000 and the contestants will need to run 10km, bike for 70km and run another 10km.

Interested parties can register for a triathlon by calling 08-737-0028 before Wednesday.
