Markus Naslund scored four goals as the Vancouver Canucks thumped the Edmonton Oilers 6-3 on Saturday.
The victory moved Vancouver into first place in the Northwest Division, one point ahead of the Minnesota Wild.
Naslund became the ninth Vancouver player to score four goals in a game and the first since Martin Gelinas on Feb. 27, 1997.
Vancouver broke open the game with four goals in less than seven minutes in the second period and now have 40 points, third highest total in the NHL.
Todd Bertuzzi had a goal and two assists, while Daniel Sedin had the other Vancouver goal.
Ed Jovanovski added two assists to the Canucks attack, while Dan Cloutier made 23 saves.
In Calgary, Derrick Morris had a goal and an assist to lead the Colorado Avalanche, without injured captain Joe Sakic, past the Flames 3-1.
David Aebischer made 27 saves for the Avalanche, while Dean McCammond and Vaclav Nedorost scored the other Colorado goals.
In Los Angeles, Mathieu Schneider scored with 38 seconds remaining in overtime to give the Kings a 3-2 win over the Pittsburgh Penguins.
In San Jose, Evgeni Nabokov made 34 saves for his first shutout of the season as the Sharks blanked the Washington Capitals 2-0.
Nabokov recorded the 15th shutout of his career while Adam Graves and Marco Sturm scored the goals for San Jose.
Overtime win
In Ottawa, Mike Fisher scored the game-winning goal in overtime as the Ottawa Senators defeated the New Jersey Devils 4-3.
The victory was the Senators fourth consecutive win overall and their eighth straight at home to set a new team record.
Ottawa is second overall in points in the Eastern Conference and is 11-3-0-0 at home.
In Detroit, Sergei Fedorov scored a pair of goals and added an assist as the Red Wings overcame a battling Columbus Blue Jackets before grabbing a 6-4 victory.
Brendan Shanahan added a goal and an assist for the Red Wings while Tomas Holmstrom, Darren McCarty and Kirk Maltby scored the other Detroit goals.
In Montreal, Richard Zednik had a goal and an assist to lead the Canadiens to a 4-2 win over the Boston Bruins.
The Eastern Conference leading Bruins lost their third straight game and second in four nights to the Canadiens, who knocked them out of last year's playoffs.
In Philadelphia, Robert Esche made 15 saves for his first shutout of the season as the Flyers beat the Buffalo Sabres 2-0.

In Nashville, Scott Walker had a pair of goals to lead the Predators to a 3-1 upset win over the Minnesota Wild.
