Regular season champion Taichung Agan continued its awesome display of offensive dominance -- from Saturday night's victory -- as it cruised to another lopsided win against the home team Kaohsiung Fala last night, winning by 10 runs to three.

Agan starter Wang Po-sheng (王博生), in a rare starting appearance, pitched behind a four-run support in five innings of work to record his first victory of the season.

Wang handed Chuang Chin-ho (莊景賀) -- who had converted from a pitcher to an outfielder to begin this season -- a 4-3 lead in the sixth that Chuang never lost.

His one-hit effort in four innings of relief won him not only the first save of the season, but also the game MVP honor.

Recently acquired Fala starter Carlos Chavez, after a three-run second inning, lasted only three innings before the first of three Fala relievers, including John Olenberger, took the mound on the top of the fourth.

Olenberger ended up with the loss as he gave up four runs in three innings of play.

Over 7,500 fans packed Taipei County's Hsinchuang Stadium last night as the Brother Elephants downed the Chinatrust Whales 6-0.

The Elephants sent their 13-win Japanese pitcher Nakagomi Shin to the mound.

The Elephants took a 2-0 lead after the first inning of play was completed. On the top of the third Chen Chih-yuen (陳致遠) hit a double to the left and scored a third run to increase the lead to 3-0.

The fifth run was scored in the fifth and the Elephants put the sixth run on the board in the last inning of the game to win it 6-0.

Elephants starter Nakagomi pitched a complete shutout game.
