Last night's game between Kaohsiung Fala and Chiayi Luka in Tainan featured three lead changes before Luka nailed down the victory in the bottom of the eighth by the score of 4-3.

Game MVP, Luka right fielder Chang Wen-Hsien's (張文憲) game-winning infield single brought home the winning run from third base with two outs, as the Luka took the lead for good.

Luka reliever Tsai Su-chin (蔡士勤) took the mound in the middle of the eighth and held the Fala hitters to one harmless hit for the win, while starter Yang Su-hsen (楊世丞) just missed the chance for the victory an inning earlier.

Yang left the game for Tsai after seven-plus innings of solid work.

Fala managed to regain their one-run first-inning lead in the fourth, thanks to a poor throw to first by Luka catcher Tsai Yi-dah (蔡易達) to make the score 3- 2.

With the score tied at three apiece, Chang's eighth inning hustle play off Fala reliever Jason Lakman proved to be the difference between the two teams.

The Brother Elephants swept the President Lions with Tasi Feng-an's (蔡豐安) three-run bomb off Lions starter Dai Lung-shwei (戴龍水) to run out 4-3 winners.

The Elephants took all three games from the Lions during the weekend series and it pushes the President team almost completely out of the playoff picture.

Both clubs sent their local pitchers to the mound, with Liu Wen-mao (劉文貿) seeking his fourth win of the season, as Dai Lung-shwei (戴龍水) of the Lions was sent to stop a losing streak of two.

The Brother Elephants will stay in Taipei to play the third-placed Sinon Bulls, as the President Lions travel to Chiayi to play against the Chinatrust Whales in games this coming weekend.
