Last night's game between Taipei Gida and Kaohsiung Fala was an offensive showcase with Gida taking the series finale 9-6.
Gida's "Wonder Boy" Yeh Chien Wen and Kaohsiung Fala's league strikeout leader Rodriguez were matched up against each other in what was supposed to be a low-scoring game.
Yeh has the second best ERA in the league, while his counterpart keeps hitters up at night with his strikeout abilities.
Although Yeh was not his usual self, giving up five runs through the first six innings, he was able to extend his winning streak to seven with a lot of help from his fellow hitters.
Gida closer Yamahara got his second save in as many games with two scoreless innings of relief work.
Rodriguez, on the other hand, was not as fortunate. He added another seven strikeouts to his league-leading total of 113, but took the complete-game loss in the process.
Every Gida batter collected at least one hit for the game in a free-scoring offensive outburst.
The game completed the three-game series for the weekend in Kaohsiung.
