    China Airlines denies ignoring warning signal

    Faculty arrested in Bangladesh

    Members of the Bangladeshi Rifles patrol the streets of Dhaka with trucks as a curfew was lifted for three hours on Thursday afternoon. Bangladesh's military-backed government declared a national holiday and briefly lifted an indefinite curfew in a bid to cool tensions after three days of rioting. Police vans patrolled Dhaka -- one of six cities under curfew -- using loudspeakers to urge people to return home after a three-hour respite.
