    Life not getting easier for Pakistan quake survivors

    Lin Hwai-min and Kimbo Hu: Talk and Songs (林懷民 胡德夫一談一唱), will bring together two of Taiwan's best known artists in the prelude to Cloud Gate's (雲門舞集) White X3 and Hu's Formosa, Island the Beautiful at the National Theater at the end of the month. The two artists are scheduled to talk about their experience of the 1970s and their development as artists during that period and Hu will also perform a number of songs. The meeting will take place at the Taiwan Youth Activity Center (Y17青少年育樂中心) located at 17, Renai Rd Sec 1, Taipei (台北市仁愛路一段17).     You Yuan (遊園), by the Hong Kong Theater Ensemble, the next installment in the International Theater Festival, opens April 20, and is the exciting successor to last month's Odin Teatret. Based on a Chinese classic The Peony Pavilion, which has been subject to a huge revival in recent years in a number of artistic forms, You Yuan presents a modern, experimental interpretation of the 400-year-old romance featuring award-winning scriptwriter, actor and director Olivia Yan (甄詠蓓). At the National Experimental Theater, Taipei (國家實驗劇場). Tickets are NT$500 and are available through NTCH ticketing outlets
