    Uzbeks held in post-riot purge

    Fifteen defendants charged by the state over the Andizhan massacre on May 13 sit in the supreme court of Uzbekistan in Tashkent yesterday. The fifteen stand accused of terrorism, possession of illegal weapons possession, murder of civilians, officials and members of the security forces, hostage-taking and freeing of hundreds of prisoners, Deputy Prosecutor General Anvar Nabiyev said.
