    The country's first gay pride parade took place yesterday through downtown Taipei, from 228 Park to Ximending. It attracted around 1,000 marchers and drew a positive response from onlookers. The march was organized by Taiwan Tongzhi Hotline to increase social acceptance of homosexuals and lobby for their rights to form a family.
