Waving both flags

KMT Legislator Lin Jeng-jzer yesterday waves an ROC flag and a PRC flag at the Legislative Yuan as he boosts his own proposal to improve the economy. Lin said the leaders of Taiwan and China should meet immediately to discuss a "one China" and work out direct trade, postal and transport links across the Taiwan Strait. Investors were spooked by the stock market's dramatic decline in recent months, Lin said, and leaders had a responsibility to restore confidence by lowering taxes and opening direct links with China.Oct 04, 2000
