Chiu Hei-yuan (瞿海源), a sociology professor at National Taiwan University, said it would be helpful if some members had close relations with Chen, but said he hopes these people will abide by "political ethics" and keep in mind who their boss really is.
"They have to show respect for Yu. I hope the situation where some ministers bypass the premier and report directly to the president will no longer occur. It would make Yu's job very difficult if it does," he said.
