KMT gets steamed over pension decision

WELFARE A NT$16 billion fund in next year's fiscal budget to provide NT$3,000 monthly pensions to the elderly drew fire from opposition lawmakers yesterday

The ads were blamed for the defeat of some of the lawmakers.

In defense, Lin said that he never took part in the DPP's plan to launch the ad campaign.

Tsai Huang-liang (蔡煌瑯), chief executive of the DPP legislative caucus, said Yu owes Lin an apology for using such rude language.

"It is unfair for the opposition lawmakers to take advantage of the opportunity to review the budget to insult Executive Yuan officials," Tsai said.
