In addition, the KMT is clueless about public opinion and believes too much in old election mechanisms, Ku said.
"While new elections rely more on comprehensive fighting plans such as TV commercials, campaign literature and the effective mobilization of supporters, the KMT was sticking with vote-buying and voting captains," he said.
Unfortunately, the intensive crackdown on vote-buying and misleading opinion polls delivered deadly blows to the confidence of the KMT.
"What we can clearly see from the elections is the people's antipathy and disgust with the KMT," Ku said.
