The Ministry of National Defense has previously given out small compensation packages to a number of the ex-military personnel who are now asking for more.
Most of the Taiwanese soldiers and military intelligence agents who survived their imprisonment in China and have returned to Taiwan received NT$800,000 each from the ministry, but consider the money to be insufficient.
