An apparently drunk Australian man created a stir yesterday after he stripped off all of his clothing and danced naked before police and a television camera crew.
The man, who was not identified, drew a small crowd with his antics along Chunghsiao E. Road -- a busy business district.
The incident started with the man fully clothed, though he was behaving and dancing wildly.
After police attempted to calm the man down, he stripped off all his clothing -- even his watch.
The man, who told a television crew he was from Australia, was later taken to a hospital for medical treatment.
Taipei traffic police had received a call at 6am yesterday, complaining of a foreign man who was singing and dancing in the streets.
Police said the man, who they estimated to be around 35, didn't appear to be breaking any law with his behavior.
