Flight re-routing not finalized yet

EVADING WAR Officials say that the government still has the final say on whether Taiwan airliners may fly over China after the legislature approved a bill to allow such a move

China Airlines (華航) and EVA Airways (長榮) are Taiwan's only carriers operating services to Europe.

Nieh Kuo-wei (聶國維), spokesman for EVA, said that by flying over China each of the airline's ten weekly Europe-bound flights would only save about 20 minutes.
