An MRT security guard was dis-missed yesterday after allegedly sexually harassing a teenage girl. The guard has denied the allegation.

According to Chung, a security guard with the Ta Chan Security Company (
Kuo took Tsai to a nearby room where police officers and security guards take breaks, have meals and temporarily shelter and question troubled passengers.
"He not only massaged her thighs but also forcibly kissed her on the lips twice. After he was radioed to change shifts, he held her from the back, trying to kiss her again. Before she was about to leave, he gave her his cell phone and pager numbers and told her that he'll show her a good time if she gave him a call," Chung told reporters.
Surveillance camera footage shows that the two remained in the room for approximately 30 minutes.
Chung called on the security company to conduct background checks on Kuo as well as other people it employs.
Chung alleged that Kuo has a police record which includes convictions for assault and fraud.

"Since we don't hire former convicts, Kuo wouldn't have gotten the job if he had a police record," Wu said.

"Before we signed the contract with Ta Chan, we asked that no one with a record of conviction be allowed. But if unfortunately the allegation proves true, we'll take all necessary actions in accordance with the contract."
The Ta Chan Security Company is the first security company awarded a one-year contract to provide security services on the Panchiao-Nankang line.
The line became operational last December.
According to Chin, Ta Chan has been fined over 60 times since it won the contract in January this year.
"I request the TRTC immediately terminate the contract with Ta Chan since it seems unfit for the job," Chin said.
Despite Kuo's dismissal on July 24, he issued a written statement proclaiming his innocence.
"I never had any physical contact with her [Tsai] from the very moment she stepped into the room," the statement said.
"I gave her my cell phone number because she said that she would like to extend her personal gratitude in the future," Kuo's statement said.
Tsai's parents, who issued a written statement, however, dismiss Kuo's defense.
"What he said was a bunch of bull ? If what he said was true, why did he bother to ask his brother to call and offer to settle the matter out of court?" the parents' statement said.
