A Taipei dog owner stabbed a man to death after the man beat his dog early yesterday morning.
Chen Shih-tse (³¯¥@¿A) and two friends were heading home when Chen dropped a bottle of water and it rolled underneath a parked car. When Chen reached down to pick up the bottle, a dog chained nearby lunged at him and tried to bite him.
Chen became enraged, picked up a stick and began beating a nearby car as well as the dog.
The commotion woke up the dog's owners, Yang Chun-sheng(·¨¬KÁn) and Yang Chih-chiang(·¨´¼±j), who rushed downstairs. The father and son began arguing with Chen and then the three men began punching one another. Yang Chih-chiang stabbed Chen and his friend Wang Yung-kai (¤ýµú³Í).
Wang remains hospitalized and the Yangs are in custody.
