Their broad political understanding and unquestionable moral stature might bring the Formosa generation back to center stage to break Taiwan's political deadlock.
"Whenever a standoff between the ruling and opposition parties arises, they will be the ones who are most suitable and capable of coordinating to ease political conflict," former chairman of the Association of Taiwanese Journalists (台灣記協) Ho Jung-shin (何榮幸) told the Taipei Times, adding that their ideals had never been on the wane.
