Reduction in workweek prompts rethink on labor

Lin said negotiations will take place in July between the Chinese National Federation of Industries (中華民國全國工業總會) and the Chinese Federation of Labor, organizations which represent employers and laborers, respectively.

"We hope the government can wait until then -- when both sides will have worked out their own positions on the matter -- instead of making any hasty decisions," Lin said.
