Chung switches allegiance to join Soong election bid

Former minister without portfolio Chung Ron-chi (鍾榮吉) publicly announced his support for independent presidential candidate James Soong (宋楚瑜) yesterday.

Chung announced his resignation and withdrawal from the KMT last month, although he did not say which presidential candidate he would support.

During a press conference in Taipei yesterday, Chung said there were two things voters must not do: First, they must not support independence for Tai-wan; second, they should vote the KMT out of office in the March 18 election.
