"The four types of warfare can be conducted separately or jointly, depending on the actual needs. The winner of wars in the future will be the side that knows how to use these different forms of warfare in the best way," he said.
"Our military leadership has to realize the changes that war will take in the future and work out corresponding measures."
Hsieh said the best way to deal with the PLA's asymmetric warfare threat is to develop similar weapons or strategies against them.
