Man confesses to murdering lover and her daughters

More details have come to light in a gruesome case of triple murder, after a man confessed to killing and dismembering his lover and her two daughters in Taichung City.

Wu Ying-hung (§dÀ3¥°), a 46-year-old taxi driver in Taichung, admitted to the crime after his arrest, said prosecutor Lin Feng-wen (ªLÂ*?å) from the Taichung District Prosecutors' Office.

Wu had lived with Pan A-ai (¼ïªü·R), 41, for the last eight years. He said that he had given all his earnings to her to keep safe for him. When it came time to buy a house, Pan said that she was going to buy it in the name of herself and her daughters, and that Wu would be cut out.

Apparently enraged over the possibility of losing his life savings, Wu killed the woman and her children.

Around 20 dismembered pieces of Pan's body were found a month ago in Hsinshe (·sªÀ) township, a suburban town in Taichung County.

On October 8, parts of the bodies of Pan's two daughters -- Wang Yi-fang (?y´©ÉªÚ), 23, and Wang Yu-ya (?y´«\¶®), 22 -- were found floating in Sun Moon Lake in Nantou County.

Police arrested Wu on Wednesday, after luring him out of hiding with the help of another of his girlfriends.

Wu admitted he suffocated Pan with a plastic bag after knocking her out with a dose of sleeping pills.

Wu said he had killed Pan's two daughters in a similar fashion when they visited his home looking for their mother in September.

"I hope they [the court] convict me. Death sentence ... of course, what else?" Wu said to reporters.

He did not apologize to the relatives of the victims.
