Computer attack! 電腦攻擊！
Mark and Kathleen were very excited. Kathleen had won first prize in a raffle and was now the proud owner of an Xii-Cube computer. It was the newest and best video game machine on the market and they couldn’t stop playing it.
“You lose again!” said Kathleen cheerfully. She’d just beaten Mark at Ghost Fighter VI for the fifth time. “I’ll beat you one of days,” replied Mark, who didn’t sound very confident. They had been playing in the attic for almost three hours, so they unplugged the Xii-Cube and took a break.
They were just about to get up and leave when they heard a voice. “Hey, where are you going?” said the voice. Mark and Kathleen were shocked. The computer was talking to them! A pair of eyes and a mouth appeared on the screen, as the computer spoke again. “Take me outside. I need to go for a walk,” it said. So they took the computer downstairs.
But before they got outside, something unbelievable happened. Kathleen was carrying the computer through the kitchen, when it jumped out of her hands. Blue sparks shot out from the computer and the other kitchen appliances began to attach themselves to it. Within seconds, a huge robot had been assembled. Its body was the refrigerator, and its legs were made of the vacuum and the washing machine. Its arms were made of wires, and it had ferocious hands made of the blender and toaster.
The robot stood up and stared at Mark and Kathleen. “Thank you for releasing me! But now you will pay…”(JOHN PHILLIPS, STAFF WRITER)
