During this year’s summer vacation, the Jimmy SPA Company arranged for students from Shuren Elementary School in Tainan’s Houbi District to go to Taitung County’s Pisirian Coast for some on-site creative activities. The 16 young artists produced 19 block print works, and the children also colorfully painted some “Pisirian driftwood sheep” to be displayed inside and outside the exhibition.
School principal Liu Yu-cheng and art teachers Wu Hung-chiang and Hung Chien-ting guided the students as they took part in setting up the exhibition to obtain an unprecedented sensory experience by blending their creativity with the show space’s multi-media design.
The children who helped set up the exhibition were all very excited. Kuo Pai-cheng said he was very moved to see the exhibition hall and felt that the hard work was all worth it and they got a lot out of it. Pao Huan-wei said he was very grateful for the opportunity to take part in all stages of the process and hoped that many people would see their work. Lai Shu-ching was thrilled as she entered the exhibition hall. She said she hoped to come and see the show together with her family and that plenty of other people would give it their support.

Tangbao are one of the most internationally renowned delicacies, that win the hearts of both locals and tourists. For the first time, the US Federal Communications Commission (FCC) has fined a company for improper disposal of its defunct satellite. The satellite cable company Dish Network was fined US$150,000 because it failed to move an old satellite that was no longer in operation to a safe distance from others currently being used. The FCC had asked Dish Network to move one of its older satellites, EchoStar-7, 186 miles further from the Earth. However, the satellite had only advanced 76 miles before it ran out of fuel at the end of its operational life in 2022.
