Plum blossoms in the Wuling National Forest Recreation Area have started to open, and the cherry blossoms are set to open up soon, with the cherry blossom season expected to start from Feb. 23. The Dongshih Forest District Office has announced the traffic restriction measures for the cherry blossom season, and has called upon cherry blossom admirers to plan ahead to avoid being turned away.
According to the district office, the traffic restrictions are to be divided into limitations on the total number of visitors within the site itself, road traffic restrictions, group entrance booking, and public transport connections. During the period, the number of visitors allowed to enter the area will be limited to 6,000 people every day, which includes 1,800 guests in accommodation and 4,200 visitors arriving on the day. The office says that, with the exception of day visitors travelling on public transport connections, guests and groups which have made reservations will have to carry a pass to get into the area.

東勢林管處表示,交通管制計畫分為「場內總量管制、道路交通管制、團客預約入場、公共運輸接駁」四項。櫻花季期間,每日進場人數上限六千人,包括住宿遊客一千八百人及當日遊客四千兩百人。林管處說,除搭乘公共運輸接駁的一日遊客外,住宿及已預約團體遊客均須持有通行證才能進入。

For the first time, the US Federal Communications Commission (FCC) has fined a company for improper disposal of its defunct satellite. The satellite cable company Dish Network was fined US$150,000 because it failed to move an old satellite that was no longer in operation to a safe distance from others currently being used.
