What do foreign tourists think of Taiwan’s hotels? According to a recent survey done by HotelClub, a well-known Australian Web site for booking hotels, W Taipei has “the Best Hotel Bar After Dark,” while The Grand Hotel is considered Taiwan’s “Most Traditional Hotel.” The more fairly priced Ambience Hotel and Yomi Hotel were voted “Most Futuristic” and “Best Hotel to Take in the Night Markets” respectively.
Jonathan Starkings, HotelClub’s director of commerce, says that 30 hotels were selected to be included in the survey, and that the voters not only included members who had previously stayed at the hotels but also HotelClub mystery shoppers. The results of the survey are now available to HotelClub members to use as a reference prior to traveling to Taiwan.
HotelClub was established in 1996 and currently has six million members. There are hotels in 7,400 cities on its Web site, and they have 75,000 rooms on average that are available to members.
