Barcelona fans Iban Anglada and Sigrid Sans have become the first couple to hold their wedding at the European Champions’ Camp Nou stadium.
Anglada, a former ice hockey player with the club, and Sans tied the knot before 260 guests on Saturday at the 98,787-seat stadium, the club said in a statement posted on its website along with a photo of the couple toasting each other on the pitch.
“We wanted something special and we thought of this place,” Sans, an economist, told the Ideal newspaper.

The total cost of the wedding set the couple, who are both in their early 30s, back around 60,000 euros (NT$2.44 million), Spanish media reported.
Holding a civil wedding ceremony at the stadium costs between 1,800 euros (NT$73,500) and 2,400 euros (NT$98,000) depending on the number of guests, according to the club.
The price for the banquet begins at 110 euros (NT$4,500) per person and the club can accommodate up to 750 guests.
Extras, such as displaying the trophies won by Barcelona last season, including for the Champions League, at the banquet cost 1,500 euros (NT$61,000).
“The dream of so many Barcelona fans is finally possible, celebrating your wedding at Barca,” the club says in its brochure to promote its new wedding services.
Barcelona announced in October last year that it would begin hosting wedding ceremonies at its stadium this year.
It has already received inquiries from interested couples from as far away as China and Japan, Television Espanola (TVE) reported.
