Meet Kathleen the mouse and Mark the elephant. Kathleen is very brave and likes adventure, but Mark is very shy and scared of many things. But friends stay together, so Mark follows Kathleen
wherever she goes. Sometimes they get into some very sticky situations.

The State Fair Triathlon – part two 州慶鐵人三項競賽（下）
Continued from last week when Mark beat a champion hot dog eater and then watched a pig do a swan dive in the mud diving contest.
Mark lined up. He jumped and landed with a smack. Mark had done a belly flop into the mud pit!
Mud and water splashed everywhere. Even the judge got dirty and soaked.
“The winner,” said the judge, pointing at Mark.
For the last contest the judge led Mark to a huge pile of wood. By now a crowd had formed.
“Whoever chops the most wood in one minute wins,” the judge said.
Mark looked at Kathleen and said: “This contest is mine. Who could they possibly find that’s stronger than me?”
But Kathleen wasn’t listening. She was looking at Mark’s opponent, who was the biggest woman Kathleen had ever seen.
“Facing the elephant is Lumberjill, the world’s greatest wood chopper. She became a household name last year when she single-handedly beat five lumberjacks in a cabin-building contest,” the judge said.
“She’s got a beard and more hair on her arms than a chimp!” Kathleen said.
“Contestants, take your position,” the judge said.
Mark picked up his axe. He looked over and watched as Lumberjill tossed her axe high into the air. It landed on a log that shattered into 15 pieces.
“Uh-oh,” Mark said…

接續上週馬克打敗世界吃熱狗冠軍，然後看到一隻豬在跳泥漿大賽中完成燕式跳水。
馬克排在隊伍中，輪到他的時候，他躍身跳下，啪的一聲，以肚子先著水的方式跳進泥巴坑中！
泥漿噴得到處都是，甚至連評審也都被噴得又濕又髒。
評審指著馬克宣佈：「贏家出爐！」
最後一個比賽，評審帶著馬克走到一大堆木材旁。這時，現場已有群眾圍觀。
評審說：「能在一分鐘內劈最多木材的人就是比賽的贏家。」
馬克看著凱薩琳說：「這場比賽我贏定了，這些參賽者裡就屬我最強壯了吧？」
但凱薩琳沒有在聽馬克說話，她正在看馬克的對手，那是她畢生見過最大隻的母象了。
評審說：「今天參賽者要挑戰的是全世界最厲害的伐木者─大象倫芭吉兒。去年她在一項搭建小木屋比賽中，用單手打敗五個伐木工，成為家喻戶曉的角色。」
凱薩琳說：「她的臉上有長鬍子，而且她的手毛比黑猩猩還多！」
評審宣佈：「參賽者，請就位。」
馬克拿起斧頭，一面打量，一面看著倫芭吉兒高高舉起斧頭，斧頭落下時，一根木材應聲碎裂成十五塊碎片。
馬克說：「喔噢。」
